Privacy Policy
Effective October 2, 2026. Hermes Backup is used only by its owner for personal backups.
Google data and purpose
The application uses Google Drive file access (drive.file) to upload, list, download and manage its backup files and associated metadata. It does not request general access to unrelated Drive documents, Gmail or contacts.
Storage and protection
Snapshots may contain personal notes, agent history, configuration and application credentials. They are encrypted with age before upload. Google Drive stores encrypted snapshots and nonsecret integrity metadata, such as filenames, dates, sizes and checksums. The private decryption key is not uploaded to Google Drive or the VPS.
OAuth credentials and tokens are stored in access-restricted configuration on the owner's computer and backup server, outside the agent's workspace. They are not published on this website.
Sharing and retention
Google data is not sold or shared for advertising. Google processes stored backup files under its own policies. Snapshots remain until removed by the owner or an owner-configured retention policy. Website access may be recorded in standard server access logs for maintenance and security; these pages use no analytics scripts.
Control and contact
The owner may revoke this application's access in Google Account security settings and delete backup files in Google Drive. Revocation does not automatically delete existing backups. This application has no external users; privacy inquiries are handled by the owner through the support email listed on the Google consent screen.
